Biography
Prof. Riccardi is Director of the Institute of Paediatrics and head of the Division of Paediatric Oncology of Catholic University of Rome and responsible for research activity of the Laboratories of the Division of Paediatric Oncology. Prof. Riccardi is also the coordinator of the ESO-SIOPE Masterclass in Paediatric Oncology, and faculty member of the exclusive annual ECCO-AACR-ASCO Workshop “Methods in Clinical Cancer Research”, Flims (Switzerland). Member of the Executive Committee of the European Consortium ITCC (Innovative Therapies for Children with Cancer) and coordinator of the ITCC training course “ITCC Training Days”. Prof. Riccardi also led the creation of the new ‘European Syllabus in Paediatric Haemato-Oncology’, an essential document for a perfect preparation in paediatric oncology to be adopted by European university courses.
Research Interest
Prof. Riccardi's research interest includes nanoencapsulation of drugs to improve oral bioavailability and the clinical pharmacology of antineoplastic drugs in children,
