Biography

Dr Omar is currently the College of American Pathologists’ KY State Commissioner for Lab Accreditation and a member of the Accreditation education Committee. He has been the Chief of Path & Lab Medicine Service at the Louisville VA Med Center since 1993 and a tenured Professor of Pathology & Lab Medicine at the University of Louisville Medical School since 1997. Dr Omar obtained his MD degree in 1977 from the Med Academy of Sofia, Bulgaria.
