Biography
Mohammad E. Khosroshahi is a Full Professor of Applied Physics and Biomedical Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) in Tehran. He received his Ph.D. degree in Medical Laser Physics from Hull University-U.K in 1993, MS.c degree in Analytical Physics from Swansea University-U.K (1989) and BS.c honours degree in Applied Physics & Electronics from Lancaster University-U.K (1987). He then joined the biomaterial group of Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at AUT. He served as the Director of AUT Laser, Optics & Photonics Research Center in 2011. His main research interests are on Nanobiophotonics and Biomedical Optics including: Targeted breast cancer theranostic using magneto-plasmonics liposomes and nanodendrimers, Targeted drug delivery, Photoacoustic drug delivery, Bioimaging, Fast dynamic studies, Nanoferrofluidics, Laser surface modification, Laser-tissue soldering and Biological chaos. At the moment his research at Center for Advanced Diffusion-Wave Technologies (CADIFT) at the University of Toronto is on plasmonic-enhanced photoacoustic imaging and multi-hybrid blood diagnostic system. He is author of 1 book, 1 book in print, 2 book chapters, 80 peer reviewed papers, more than 100 conference papers and 10 patents. He is a Fellow member of Institute of Nanotechnology and member of American Association of Science &Technology, SPIE, Optical Society of America, Canadian Association of Physics and Canadian Medical and Biomedical Engineering Society.
