Biography
James Ramos, a recent biomedical engineering doctoral graduate working with BME associate professor Kaushal Rege, had his paper “Poly(amino ether)-Gold Nanorod Assemblies for shRNA Plasmid-induced Gene Silencing” published in Molecular Pharmaceutics in 2013. The paper showed characteristics of these nanoassemblies that make them a promising platform for theranostics. Potential applications include delivery of therapeutic payloads for simultaneous gene silencing and bioimaging.
