Research Interest

Pharmacogenetic studies on the discovery of novel human genetic polymorphisms, their functional significance and their relationship to outcome of drug therapy, susceptibility to adverse drug reactions and susceptibility to complex diseases. These studies are central to the area of personalised (stratified) medicine and a key aim is to translate our findings to simple tests that can be used to determine the most appropriate drug treatment on an individual basis.
