Biography

Dr. Badrul Yahaya (Ph.D.), is a Senior Lecturer/Principal Investigator, and the Head of the Cluster for Regenerative Medicine, Advanced Medical and Dental Institute (AMDI), Universiti Sains Malaysia. Dr Yahaya obtained his BSc (with Hons) degree in Genetic from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (2002), MSc in Human Genetics from the Universiti Sains Malaysia (2006).

Research Interest

Dr. Yahaya’s group interest is in understanding of the mechanisms that underlay lung disease in the context of pre-clinical setting prior to be evaluated in a clinical application. For this purpose, his group has developed a rabbit as an animal model system to focus on understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying airway epithelial regeneration and repair.
