Biography
Dr. Vinayagam Kannan is a Senior Formulation Development Scientist Par Sterile Products LLC. He has a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). He obtained master’s degree in Pharmaceutics from National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), India and bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from The Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University, India. He has an excellent academic record with several awards and fellowships. He was inducted into The Rho Chi Honor Society in the year 2009 for his academic excellence.
Research Interest
Injectable and ophthalmic drug product development, pre-formulation, solubilization techniques, lyophilization, targeted drug delivery, nanoparticulate systems including liposomes, design of experiments (DOE), Quality by Design (QbD), extractables/leachables, and salt selection/screening.
