Professor Tamer Elbayoumi BPharm MS Ph D has received his BS in Pharmacy from Alexandria University Alex Egypt and Masterâ⬲s in Biomedical Sciences from Northeastern University Boston MA. He completed his Post Doctoral Fellowship at the Center of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and Nanomedicine after receiving his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Northeastern University Boston MA in the period of 2003-2006. Before joining the faculty at Midwestern University Glendale as an assistant professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences he held the position of Senior Formulation Research Scientist R D Cardiology Systems at Atrium Medical Corp Hudson NH, where he was responsible for development of drug eluting implants at various clinical phases In addition to serving as a peerreviewer for numerous reputed scientific research journals like journal of controlled release journal of liposome research. Langmuir Dr Elbayoumi has published over 25 research papers review articles and book chapters mostly in the area of targeted nanocarrier delivery systems for therapeutics and imaging agents as well as being a graduate member of the pharmaceutical Rho Chi Honor Society he was a recipient of the international ââ¬ÅOutstanding Parenteral Drug Delivery Awardââ¬Â of the Controlled Release Society in Vienna Austria.
His research areas of interest include development of nano-pharmaceutical formulations for investigational cardiovascular therapy, cancer chemotherapy and diagnostic imaging.
