Biography
Dr. Roshan Padmashali is a scientist in the Discovery Biology and Translational research group at Shire Pharmaceuticals in Lexington, MA. He is an expert in gene delivery and gene modification strategies, molecular biology, stem cell differentiation, cell-based and immune-assay development with 8+ years of progressive research experience. He completed his PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University at Buffalo-SUNY, New York where he worked on developing the lentivirus technology platform for gene delivery applications using fibrin gels and applied lentiviral reporters for understanding stem cell differentiation process using live cell microarrays. At Shire, he continues to work on novel strategies targeting rare genetic diseases, developing hypothesis around new drug targets and designing experiments to test hypothesis and study effects on cellular mechanisms.
