Biography

Dr. Michele Balsamo has received his Ph.D. from “La Sapienza” University of Rome, Italy, while conducting his research as visiting Ph.D. student first and then as postdoctoral fellow at the David H. Koch Institute, Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the lab of Prof. Frank Gertler, in the field of cell migration and cancer metastasis. Currently, he is working as Research Fellow at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa Italy. His primary research interests include cancer biology, cell migration and microgravity research. He is serving as expert Reviewer for journals like Plos One, Canadian journal of physiology and pharmacology and Journal of Stem Cell Research & Therapy. He has published more than 8 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
