Biography

Dr. Haitham Mohammad Abdelaal has received his PhD in Marburg University, Germany, during the period between October 2009 and February 2013; he graduated magna cum laude. Currently, he is working as Research Scientist in Ceramics Laboratory, The National Research Center (NRC), Egypt. He has successfully completed his administrative responsibilities as member of the ceramics department council and member of the ethics of scientific writing committee in NRC. His research has included designing and synthesizing various nano-materials (nano-composites, nano-oxides and nano-oxide hollow structures) with specific shapes, sizes and morphologies and then evaluating their use for different application like water treatment, sensors and energy applications. Based on this research and fellowship training he has received several awards and honors, such as the highly prestigious DAAD fellowship from German Academic Exchange Service (2009-2011). He is serving as expert reviewer for journals like Materials Letters, Materials Chemistry and Physics, Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, Colloid and Polymer Science, Drug Delivery, Medicinal Chemistry, Current Research, Journal of Physical Chemistry & Biophysics, Modern Chemistry & Applications, Journal of Environmental Analytical Chemistry. He has authored more than 13 research articles. He is a member of the German Chemical Society (GDCh), Marburg University Research Academy (MARA) and the Egyptian Society of Advanced Materials & Nanotechnology.

Research Interest
