Dr Guorui Huang has received his PhD in the field of Biochemistry and molecular biology from Shanghai Institute of Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2007. Currently, he is working as scientist in University of Wisconsin-Madison. His primary research interests include the role of extracellular matrix proteins in some complex diseases such as cancer, diabetes and atherosclerosis. He has received several awards and honors, such as Outstanding Student Award, Shanghai Institute of Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences; First prize of “DI AO” award for excellent graduate students, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Winner of the 6th “DBIO-CCRF (China Cancer Research Foundation) China Prize”. He is serving as an editorial member of Journal of Cell Science & Therapy & expert reviewer for journals like Tissue Engineering, Journal of Stem Cell Research & Therapy, Journal of Cell Science & Therapy, Life Science, and Int J Pharma Investig. He has published more than 13 publications in peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of American Society for Matrix Biology (ASMB).
