Prof. Gianpaolo Papaccio has received his degree in Medicine and Surgery cum laude and then his PhD from University of Naples Federico II in the field of cell culture and technology. Currently, he is working as full professor (tenure track) in Medical Histology and Embryology in the Second University of Naples, where he’s chief of the Division of Cytometry and advanced molecular biology of the University Hospital. His primary research interests include mesenchymal stem cells and cancer stem cells in sarcomas and oral cancer. He has received several awards and honors, such as: IADR awards, Scuola medica salernitana award, Leader scientist in cells and materials applied to dentistry and medicine. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like Stem Cells, PLoS ONE, Stem Cells and Therapy, ECM J.& expert Reviewer for journals like Oncotarget, ECM J, Stem Cells and Development, Biomaterials and several others. He has published more than 105 papers in peer-reviewed journals and is an author of 3 books. He is a member of several scientific societies. He’s President of the degree course in Medicine and Surgery (in English) in his University and has been invited speaker in several Congresses and Meetings in many Countries.
