Biography
Dr Ercument GENC has received his PhD in Fisheries and Aquaculture (on the fish endoparasites and histopathologic effects) from the University of Cukurova (Adana, Turkey) in 2002. Currently, he holds a position as Full Professor in Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture at Ankara University in Turkey. He has been working on fish parasites since 2000. He is an editorial member of International Journal of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering (IJWREE) and Ege J. Fish. Aqua. Sci. (egejfas) and he acts as a regular reviewer for several international journals. He has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed research articles in international journal (436 citations, h-index 11, i10-index: 16, http://scholar.google.com/citations?user=aCNP-M0AAAAJ&cstart=20&pagesize=20, https://ankara.academia.edu/ErcumentGenc, https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Ercument_Genc) and one book chapter. He is a member of the WWF and of the European Aquaculture Society.
