Biography
I published more than 150 papers in peer-reviewed international journals since 1993 (citations: 1854; h-index=24). I Presented contributed and invited oral presentations in twenty international conferences and workshops. I reviewed more than 100 papers for international journals such as Bioinformatics, BMC Bioinformatics, Journal Molecular Graphics Modelling, Bioinformatics and Biology Insight, Biometrics, Proteins, Genetics, Heredity, Genetical Research. I also edited a book on Bayesian Networks, published in 2010.
Research Interest
Current main research field is in computational modelling of gene and protein networks using graphical models (Bayseians networks) from genetical association and genome data. Previously (1991-2007), my major research interest was in the area of methods and bioinformatics tools for genetic mapping (linkage, association).
