Abstract:

Statement of the Problem: Panic attacks are defined as an abrupt discomfort and fear reaching some minutes the peak. There are usually four or five symptoms accompanying panic attacks. These symptoms could be accelerating heart rate, sweating, trembling or shaking, shortness of breath, shocking feelings, chest pain, discomfort nausea, palpitations, abdominal distress, dizziness, faintness, heat sensations, paresthesias, and fear of losing control, depersonalization, fear of dying. In traditional syndrome Purpose: the purpose of this study is to demonstrate that patients with panic syndrome have energies deficiencies that are causing the formation of internal Heat and the use of psychotropic medications can induce more formation of Heat retention in the Gallbladder meridian leading to worsening of the symptoms instead of improving the symptoms of the panic syndrome. Methods: one case report of a patient of 45 years old with panic syndrome diagnosis and was using antidepressant and anxiolytic medications ( Alprazolam 6 pills per day-2pills in the morning, 2 in the afternoon, and 2 in the evening. Also, he was using Clonazepam 10 drop 3 times a day, and Citalopram 20 mg per day, in the lunchtime. ) He was using these medications for more than 10 years and in the last to years, the medications were not having good results. The patient searched for traditional Chinese medicine treatment and the author orientates him to follow Chinese dietary counseling, auricular acupuncture with apex ear bloodletting, and did radiesthesia procedure that revealed that the patient was in the lowest level of energy, rated one out of eight. Results: The patient improved his condition only using Chinese dietary counseling, auricular acupuncture, and apex ear bloodletting and reduced slowly his psychotropic medications until reduced to a very low intake of medications nowadays. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that panic syndrome patients have energies deficiencies leading to Heat rete Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that panic syndrome patients have energies deficiencies leading to Heat retention in the Gallbladder meridian and the use of psychotropic medications in this case report was important to cause more energies imbalances in the Gallbladder meridian and the reduction of psychotropic medications, in this case, was important to control the panic syndrome attacks together with the use of Chinese dietary counseling, auricular acupuncture associating with apex ear bloodletting, and the replenishment of the chakras energies centers with highly diluted medications such as homeopathic according to the theory Constitutional Homeopathy of The Five Elements Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Since 1997, she works with the approach and treatment of all chronic diseases in a holistic way, with treatment guided through the teachings of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Hippocrates. Researcher in the University of São Paulo, in the Ophthalmology department from 2012 to 2013.Author of the theory Constitutional Homeopathy of the Five Elements Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine.
