Method: A descriptive cross-sectional survey was conducted among practicing anesthesiologists from public and private healthcare institutions. Data regarding training, utilization, and perceived effectiveness were analyzed.
Result: Approximately 71% routinely performed ultrasound guided nerve blocks. Seventy-eight percent believed the technique improved patient safety, while 67% reported shorter postoperative recovery times.
Conclusion: Ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia is increasingly adopted in Brazil. Expanded education and improved equipment accessibility may further enhance patient outcomes.
