Scientific Tracks Abstracts: J Vaccines Vaccin
Amidst all the ruckus and terrible events hidden behind the COVID-19 pandemic, the struggle of Sudanese women continues to inflate and evolve even more. This paper aims to discuss the current situation facing Sudanese women getting vaccinated, their fight against stigma, and how it relates to fighting HIV. It’s known that both COVID-19 cases and HIV infection are being under-reported, however, what is concerning is how Sudanese women continue to go under the radar because of the nature of dictatorship the Sudanese culture and are receiving no scrutiny at a time where it’s most needed. Also Sudan also recently experienced a revolution that ousted a 30-year in which women have been at the forefront of this revolution. This paper also discusses how women should be scrutinized in this complex issue of HIV & COVID-19 response, and how building their capacity and enabling them to fight stigma is key to proper pandemic response.
