Abstract:

We are actively going to investigate the use of a Dental Hygienist in practice to their full scope of practice. We will be looking at releasing practice and clinician potential to its maximum, exploring the scope of practice within their remit and competencies for an optimum patient journey. We will be recognizing the importance of a patient’s journey from start to finish and take a closer look at how in the UK we have modernized this with the power of direct access and therapeutic additions to their general expectations of what their treatment involves. With a more in-depth look into self-motivation for hygienists themselves and releasing their own potential and opportunities within dentistry and indeed their community; empowering competent and confidence in individuals to increase and uphold their skill set and services to patients and formulate a future-proof business plan. We will also cover a brief insight into digital and indeed social media and its uses for patient engagement within dentistry. The power of this platform will be recognized in accordance with building patient retention and relations, facilitating a social buzz around your services and indeed your clinicians and practice.
