Abstract:

Implant restoration only replaces missing teeth to restore function. However, it is limited in its ability to correct malocclusion. Also, it is limited in ability to address facial aesthetic, General alignment, symmetry as well as TMJ problem. Dental implants are established alternatives for replacing missing teeth. Tooth loss for different reasons may lead to alveolar resorption. Shortage of bone can prevent proper positioning of dental implants according to prosthetic needs and treatment planning, unless the volume of hard and soft tissues is increased before implantation. In the esthetic area it is essential not only to achieve well-anchored implants but also sufficient soft and hard tissue in order to obtain natural looking result. Severe skeletal problems necessitate orthognathic jaw surgery could be avoided with proper planning integrated with orthodontic, implant and prosthodontics interdisciplinary management. A proper and thorough treatment plan using cone beam CT, Clinical photography, OPG, lateral cephalometric and PA Skull radiographs would enable clinicians to derive skeletal, dental and soft tissues information. From which detailed diagnosis and treatment plan could be formulated to address the macro- aesthetic, mini-aesthetic and micro-aesthetic aspects of patient. Orthodontic treatment with either fixed appliance or clear aligner technology could be the first line of treatment addressing the macro and mini aesthetic of treatment. Dental implants could compliment orthodontic treatment by providing anchorage and functional support as well as forming the keystone for vertical facial height. Prosthodontics treatment provides stunning shades, shape in golden proportions. Laser gingivoplasty gives the final touch to the micro aesthetic of the finishing results. The presentation shows case full mouth rehabilitation clinical cases to illustrate step by step how this face driven dentistry principle. Complex malocclusion with missing teeth can be treated to a beautiful result with the aid of state of arts technology and carefully diagnosis and treatment plan and includes several treatment modalities to augment the soft and hard tissues in order to obtain proper insertion of implants according to prosthetic needs and patient satisfaction.
