Abstract:

Spray pyrolysis method is employed for deposition of Europium chalcogenide thin films. The thin films was deposited chemically on the substrate as bare glass. The deposition parameters are varied to achieve an optimized pyrolysis technique at various different base temperatures this was carried out in in aqueous medium. The thin films were studied optically. The effect of base substrate temperature on optical properties has been investigated. The bandgap studies reveal that, the films are having a bandgap varying with deposition parameters. The supported SEM characterization confirmed small grains on overall substrate thin films surface. The family of europium chalcogenide based materials has been also recently investigated for spintronic related research. The Europium Chalcogenide thin films films were studied for optical characterization of the deposited samples.
