Abstract:

Valvular Heart Disease has always been one the leading cause of cardioembolic stroke. Atrial fibrillation associated with mitral stenosis leads to left atrial clot and forming thrombo-embolic condition. In this case, the young female of just 35 years presented with left sided hemiplegia with 2D Echo suggestive of clot at the left atrial appendage with moderate mitral stenosis and mild atrial stenosis and also had history of 3 fetal abortion but lupus anticoagulant was negative but hyperhomocystenemia was present and MRI brain finding suggestive of acute infarct involving right MCA territory with hemorrhagic transformation but the ECG showed normal sinus rhythm.
