Abstract:

The workshop�??s primary goal is to cover some inappropriately appreciated determinants of antibiotic resistance in bacteria like genome size, cell size, nutritional status and stress situations. In addition trends in rates of antibiotic resistance in relevant pathogens and possible solutions to the problem of rising antibiotic resistance will be discussed.

Biography :

Miklos Fuzi has completed his PhD in 2001 and has been engaged in the investigation of clonality and antibiotic resistance during the last 15 years. He has published 38 papers in reputed journals. He is an Associate Professor at Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary.
