Abstract:

Endodontics can be very tricky and its outcomes could be really unpredictable, especially in the hands of a non-specialist. Assessing the difficulty of an endodontic treatment is of utmost importance in the decision-making flowchart, so the clinician can decide beforehand whether to perform the root canal treatment himself, call a specialist or extract the tooth. Starting from the American Association of Endodontists guidelines, the speaker will share with the audience his 15 years clinical experience and will provide hints, tips and tricks to help the clinicians in the diagnostic phase before performing an endodontic procedure. People who will attend this conference will acquire a useful method to assess difficulty of each endodontic case and will then easily decide the best therapeutic option for each patient.
