Skin conditions in Ethiopia occur at a significant level and it is the sixth most frequent cause of outpatient visits to health facilities, nationwide. Ethiopia is a country located in eastern Africa with a predominantly tropical climate. The country is the second most populous country with a population of more than 112 Million Having a per capita income of 850$. The most common skin problems in the country are infectious diseases. But varieties of skin diseases are seen from all over the country. Among these the significant numbers of the dermatologic patients are children. The sad truth is that for the huge number of dermatology patients including children, there are only 150 dermatologists all over the country. For this reason the waiting time of dermatologic visits is very prolonged and patients come to clinics with complicated and sever illnesses. This is even worse in children. The low socioeconomic status of the population in the country, the underdeveloped health system and other priority area of health than dermatology, contributed for the limited services the dermatology patients in Ethiopia get.
