Abstract:

Clinical Case 1: Obtaining a favorable aesthetic and functional result through reconstructive therapy on dental implants in edentation in the lateral zone is the objective of the study. Removal of the maxillary sinus cysts using ??Crocco Eye? technique in the same stage with external sinus lift and implant insertion. The treatment began with bilateral external sinus lift, bone augmentation in the same stage with cyst removal, insertion of two implants on each hemiarcade, horizontal and vertical augmentation. A resorbable membrane and bovine bone were used for bone augmentation. Results of the study are increasing the bone volume which allowed the insertion of the lateral implants with appropriate size for the lateral zone and correct positioning from the prosthetic point of view. The aesthetic results of the frontal and lateral areas depend on a number of surgical and prosthetic parameters. The insertion of the implant must respect the principles of three-dimensional positioning and the gingival peri-implantar contour should be adequate and also stable. Clinical Case 2: Combining orthodontic treatment with corticotomy we want to achieve an easier but most of all safer way to move the teeth. We prevented future bone resorbtion by splitting the bone and also by making bone augmentation to stabilize the buccal plate witch could suffer resorbtion after orthodontic treatment. The corticotomy was performed using piezosurgery, parallel to the roots and also horizontal, 2 mm under the apex. Orthodontic treatment??s time was reduced to 60% and the buccal plate was augmented. Corticotomy could help the orthodontic treatment by making easier and safer repositioning of the teeth.
