Abstract:

Within the framework of actions of public Healthcare organizations, one of the issues generally addressed by the management teams is the need to have a defined purpose. This element, which is one of such aspects raised by the EFQM 2020 Model and which is essential in order to establish the strategic vision of each of the public health entities is not always understood as a necessary and differential factor. The management of public hospitals usually does not understand what the real difference is between mission and the concept of purpose itself. This article proposes the identification of the key aspects of the purpose, and a methodology for defining and communicating it to the agents of the ecosystem with the aim of making it inspiring and establishing it as a strategic pillar of the entity.
