Parasitic pneumonia is an infection of the lungs caused by parasites, which are small organisms that live off of other living things. These parasites can be found in soil, water, and air and can cause infections in humans if inhaled or ingested. Parasitic pneumonia can be particularly dangerous for people with weakened immune systems or those who are immunocompromised.
