Biography

Zhengwu Lu received MD from Anhui Medical University China in 1988, and PhD in Pharmacology from Beijing University Health Sciences Center in 1994. He received a program certificate in Computer Programming and Database Development from the Praxis Training Institute, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in 1998. He published about 30 scientific papers in peerreviewed biomedical journals and conference proceedings. His major contributions have been in the research and development of animal models to study psychneuroendocrineimmunitydisease susceptibility and interventions involving immunopharmacology, and technology applications in clinical research. In recent years, he has performed clinical applications design and development in various biomedically related industries. He has participated in clinical study protocol preparation/review, developed clinical applications, led clinical/lab systems development/validation projects, and designed clinical trial case report forms using electronic data capturing technologies. He is currently a Sr. IEEE member and working as clinical research consultant in the biopharmaceutical clinical trial industry. He acts as an editor or reviewer for a number of peerreviewed biomedically related international journals. His current research interest lies in systems biomedicine, clinical research, eclinical systems engineering, technologysupported clinical trial optimization, and clinical informatics.
