Use of remote sensing techniques, spatial analysis, climate data, and ecosystem modelling in studies of natural or managed systems (grassland, forest, wetland, and agriculture), and on the linkages between observed changes and environmental and anthropogenic driving factors (e.g. climate, topography, grazing, and oil and gas exploration) at multiple spatial and temporal scales. Much of this work has been interdisciplinary, innovative, and collaborative in its nature.
