Biography

Dr Yogen Singh is a Consultant Neonatologist and Paediatrician with special Expertise in Cardiology (PEC) at Cambridge University Hospitals. Before taking up this challenging and exciting consultant position with equal responsibilities in neonatology and paediatric cardiology at Addenbrooke's hospital he worked as a consultant neonatologist at Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. He is an educational and academic lead / convenor at the Paediatrician with Expertise in Cardiology Special Interest Group (PECSIG) executive committee and also a lead for the accreditation and training at NICHe (Neonatologist with Interest in Cardiology and Haemodynamics) group UK. He is the lead author for the “Expert Consensus Statement on Neonatologist Performed Echocardiography (NoPE): Training and Accreditation in the UK”, which has been endorsed by British Congenital Cardiac Association (BCCA), PECSIG and NICHe. Yogen is a co-founder and co-director at ‘Yorkshire Paediatric Echocardiography Course’ in Leeds, and course director at ‘Cambridge Paediatric and Neonatal Echocardiography Course’. As an invited speaker Yogen has delivered neonatal and paediatric cardiology talks at various national and international conferences. He has facilitated workshops on functional echocardiography in many countries. He has published many articles in peer reviewed journals and he is a member of editorial board at ‘Journal of Congenital Cardiology’.
