Biography

Yasunori Iida, MD, PhD is a head physician of department of Cardiovascular Surgery at Saiseikai Yokohama city Eastern Hospital. He graduated from Tokyo Medical University in 2001 and had been educated in Tokyo Medical University, Tachikawa General Hospital and taken a degree in 2006, studying experimental flow dynamic comparison of in-situ internal thoracic and gastroepiploic arterial conduits in CABG. He had been studying abroad as a postdoctoral fellow in Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery, Stanford University between Nov. 2009 and Nov. 2011. His specialty board certifications are Japan Surgical Society Board Certification, The Japanese Society for Cardiovascular Surgery Board Certification, andBoard Certified Fellow of the Japanese College of Angiology.

Research Interest

Dr. Iida’s main research interests include the pathogenesis of aortic aneurysm. He is also devoted to the development of novel vascular medicines to treat aortic aneurysm as the most minimally invasive therapy for the patients with aortic aneurysms.
