Biography

Dr Song is presently tenure-track assistant professor of Pathology and Immunology at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) in Houston, USA. He is also a member of Center for Cell and Gene Therapy (CAGT) and Center for AIDS Research at Baylor. Dr. Song completed his undergraduate medical training at Beijing Medical University in 1993 and his PhD at Nanjing Medical University in 2002. Then Dr. Song completed his postdoc training in CAGT. Dr. Song has published many peer-reviewed papers in various journals such as Nature Medicine, Journal of Clinical Investigation, Molecular Therapy, Cancer Research, Journal of Biological Chemistry, and PLOS Medicine. As PI, Dr. Song has received US$2.5 million grants from various government funding bodies and private foundations. Dr Song has served as a reviewer for Molecular Therapy & Immunology and Cell Biology. Dr Song has given more than 10 invited seminars/keynote presentations to a variety of institutes, government agencies, and high-profile international conferences. He is a recipient of several research awards, a member of several national and international professional societies.
