Biography

Dr. Fuh received his D.D.S. degree in 1988. He then had his Ph.D. program in Biomedical studies (dissertation entitled: Differential Gene Expression in Mechanically Loaded Bone Cells) combined with residency training in Prosthodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas from 1991 to 1996 (supported by a fellowship from National Science Council, R.O.C.). He then continues his career in China Medical University where he graduated and specializes in Implant Dentistry and major prosthodontic reconstruction. He organized the first implant team in China Medical University Hospital since 1997. Dr. Fuh also leads a biomechanical research team including experts specialized in engineering, material sciences and computer aided design. This group has focused on new implant designs, surface treatment and also image based diagnosis. Dr. Fuh has been the Dean of the School of Dentistry from 2002 to 2009 and is currently the Director of Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry, China Medical University Hospital.
