Wenzeng Zhang, born in 1975, is currently an associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University, China. He received his B.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Tsinghua University in 1999, 2005. His research interests are the areas of humanoid robotics, robotic hand, robot mechanism, under-actuated grasping, robot vision, robot welding, and seam tracking. He has over 50 publications in journals and over 40 in conferences. He received five Best Paper Awards from international conferences on robotics and several educational awards from Tsinghua University. He obtained over 60 Chinese invention patents. He is a senior member of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, a member of Chinese Welding Society, a member of Editorial Board of the Inter. Journal of Precision Engineering and Manufacturing (IJPEM), and a Lead Guest Editor of the Journal of Robotics
