Biography

Ulrico J LópezChuken is the head of the Environment Research Laboratory at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León UANL Mexico He earned his PhD in Environmental Sciences at The University of Nottingham UK 2005 Currently he is a fulltime researcher and lecturer at the Department of Environmental Sciences UANL His time is devoted to undergraduate and graduate course work interacting with students in the lab participating in several collaborative research projects and supervising graduate students in Environmentalrelated topics 1 PhD and 7 MSc He has published more than 15 reviewed papers and has authored 2 book chapters In 2008 he was elected a fellow of the Mexican National Researchers System and in 2009 he was awarded by the Secretary of Education in Mexico with the “Desirable Profile” for University Professors He has served as a reviewer of several journals in the area of environmental biotechnology such as the International Journal of Phytoremediation and TERRA Latinoamericana

Biological technologies for the remediation of polluted sites (phytoremediation, bioremediation and phycoremediation).
