Biography

Dr S.Wamique Yusuf is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He obtained his medical degree from Dow Medical College, Karachi. He pursued his Internal Medicine training in the United Kingdom, where his research included; prospective studies on the effect of helicobacter pylori on fibrinogen level in elderly population with coronary artery disease and impact of spironolacatone on quality of life in elderly patients with heart failure. He moved to USA in 1996 and completed his cardiology fellowship from the University of Texas, Houston. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and a Fellow of American College of Cardiology. He is heavily involved in the clinical training of fellows and medical students and is also the Program Co-Director for the ACC Cardiovascular Board Review. He is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
