Biography

Ms. Sumaira Khowaja-Punjwani, is Nurse Academician by profession with an interest and specialization in Ethics. She has worked at the rank of Senior Instructor and has vast experience of curriculum designing and modifications for novice to expert nurses. Currently she is serving as Manager Nursing Education and HOD Nursing Services at Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation (AMTF), Pakistan. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BScN) in 2007 from Aga Khan University School of Nursing. She received her Master of Bioethics (MBeth) in 2010 from Aga Khan University Medical College funded by Fogarty International Centre, NIH USA. She has participated in several national and international conferences as facilitator and paper presenter. She has served in two Ethical Review Committees as member including Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) and The Kidney Center (TKC). She has published her work in the area of Bioethics and Nursing.
