Biography

Sorin Uram-Tuculescu is originally from Timisoara, Romania, where he received his DMD Degree and PhD. He served as faculty at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “V. Babes” Timisoara - School of Dental Medicine, while maintaining a private practice in general dentistry. Once in the United States he attended University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he obtained his American DDS as well as MS and Certificate in Prosthodontics. He has contributed to numerous publications, journals, and textbooks. Dr. Uram–Tuculescu is the recipient of the G. Randolph and Ann Babcock Fellowship, the Freedland Advanced Dental Education Fellowship, has received recognition from the Academy of Prosthodontics Foundation – Research Grants Committee, and has also been awarded the Helicon Editor’s Prize as well as the Romanian Academy Prize “Gheorghe Marinescu.

Research Interest

Dr. Sorin Uram-Tuculescu’s research interests include: biomaterials/implants, digital dentistry, dental esthetics, and patient-health care provider interaction.
