Biography

Shiuh-Chuan Her received his B.S. degree in Department of Engineering Science from National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1978; M.S. degree in Department of Mechanical Engineering from State University of New York at Buffalo, USA; Ph. D. degree in Department of Aerospace Engineering from University of California at Los Angeles, USA. He is currently an associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Yuan Ze University, Chung-Li, Taiwan, R.O.C. The research interests of Shiuh-Chuan Her are mainly in the areas of nanocomposites, fracture mechanics, optical fiber sensors, piezoelectric actuator and nondsestructive evaluation. On these topics he is author or coauthor of more than 50 journal and conference articles
