Biography

Dr. Sateesh Kumar Vemula is an accomplished researcher and teacher in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutics). Presently working as Associate Professor and Head in Department of Pharmaceutics, Chaitanya College of Pharmacy Education and Research, Kishanpura, Hanamkonda, Warangal, Telangana, India.  10 yrs research and teaching experience and had an extensive research experience in Colon Specific drug delivery systems, Fast Disintegrating Tablets, Solid Dispersions, Sustained Release Tablets, Liquisolid Systems and Gastro retentive drug delivery systems.  Undergone Industrial training for a period of 60 days in the manufacture of dosage forms in Cadila Pharmaceuticals, Ahmedabad, India (in B. Pharm) and training at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, FTO 6, Baddhi, Himachal Pradesh, India in Tablet Compression, Capsule Filling, Pellet Coating and documentation on Process Validation and Equipment and System Qualification (3 months) and Process standardization and validation of MUPS technology at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, FTO 2, Bachupally, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India (6 months).  Published 54 research publications in several international and national journals. Four papers are under review in different international journals. Acting as Editorial Board member for International Journal of Drug Discovery and Journal of Pharmacokinetics & Experimental Therapeutics and Reviewer for different international and national journals.  Attended several symposiums and workshops at the national and international level and organized and acted as Convener, Scientific Service Committee for DRACC-2012.  Presented 20 poster/oral presentations as presenting author and 60 presentations as coauthor in several national and international conferences.  Guided 20 projects at M. Pharm level.  Life memberships in Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) and Member in Kakatiya University Alumni Association.  Five research projects were completed, which are approved by Wollega University, Nekemte, Ethiopia.

At present, Associate Professor and Head in Department of Pharmaceutics, Chaitanya College of Pharmacy Education and Research, Kishanpura, Hanamkonda, Warangal, Telangana, India from Feb 2016 to till date.
