Biography

Sara Sarrafi Zadeh was born in Tehran, the capital city of Iran in 1981. She obtained her B.Sc. in Nutrition and Dietetics from Azad University, Science and Research Branch, Iran (2003). She persuaded her higher education for M.Sc. in Food Science and Nutrition at University of Mysore, India (2004-2006) and immediately after that she joined PhD program in Public Nutrition (2006-2010). Her doctoral research was focused on insomnia and its effect on nutritional status and vice versa. Her research involved assessing prevalence of insomnia among employed population, study the relationship between insomnia and nutrition statuses, nutrition intervention and quality of life assessment Meanwhile she involved in teaching post graduate courses in Food Science and Nutrition, assist in report writing, participating in workshops and conferences. She has published research and review articles related to nutrition and community health. She holds membership of prestigious academic associations like Iranian Nutrition Society (ATA), Nutrition Society of India (NSI), Indian Dietetic Association (IDA), and Indian Society for Sleep Research (ISSR), Diabetic Association of India (Southern Chapter). Her areas of interest are clinical nutrition, public health nutrition and programs related to human health and well-being.
