Biography

Salvatore Drago after Master-Degree in Philosophy (with honours), he obtained a Ph.D in “History of Mediterranean Europe. Economy, Society and Institutions: centuries XVII-XX” and has benefited a contract of research Post-Doc in the same ambit of study at the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy of the University of Messina. (A. Y. 2000/2007). Appointed “Specialist of the Matter” in 2003 in Modern History at the University of Messina and in 2013 in Histoty of Economic Thought at the E-Campus University of Rome and Messina, has been Fellow at the “Studies Centre on Market Economy, Ethics and Catholic Social Thought” (December 2009-December 2012). Appointed Teaching assistant at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Free University of Bozen (A. Y. 2011/1012), has given Lectures on economic and social aspects of the modern Europe, on social economy of european matrix, and on the historical and perspective link between Economy and Religions (Yasar University of Izmir-Turkey, 2013; LUP University of Caltanissetta 2013; Centro Rinascimento with University of Reggio Calabria, 2013; and UTE Barcellona-Messina A. Y. 2013/2014). Teaching assistant at the Chair of Modern History and of Economic History at the same Faculty he is Fellow-research at the “Studies Centre Pio La Torre on Law, Economy and Society” of Palermo (from 2013); Full-Member Research at the IIPPE (International Initiative for Promoting Political Economy, c/o SOAS University of London, and Coordinator of the Working Group on “Political Economy and Religions”); Member-Research at the INFER (International Network For Economic Research); Basic-Member at the EIB-Institute (European Investement Bank-Institute); and Fellow at the CESPEC (Centre Study on the Contemporary Thought). He has participated at different research projects in the sector of history of economic thought, at many International and National Conferences, and he is author of several publications on reviewed Journals and books. He is also Member of Societies of study such as ESHET (European Society History of Economic Thought), AISPE (Italian Association History of Economic Thought), STOREP (Italian Associaton on the History of Political Economy), SISE (Italian Society Economic Historicans), SISEM (Italian Society Study Modern Age), SISSD (Italian Society Study on XVIII Century) and CISS (International Centre Studies Sturzo).
