Biography

Dr. Peng Zhan was born in 1982 in Ji’nan, Shandong province, China. He obtained his B.S. degree from Shandong University, China, in 2005. Then he earned his M.S. degree and Ph.D in medicinal chemistry from Shandong University under the supervision of Prof. Xinyong Liu in 2008 and 2010, respectively. He is now working as an associate professor in Shandong University. In 2012, he was appointed as a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow in Graduate School of Medical Science, Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, Japan under the guidance of Professor Takayoshi Suzuki. So far he has published more than 60 SCI academic peer review papers, more than 10 patents as co-inventors, and received the first prize of Shandong Province Science and Technology Innovation Achievement excellent graduate Award (ranked first) in 2010 and many other honors and awards.

Research Interest

Research area involves discovery of novel antiviral, anticancer and neurodegenerative diseases-related agents based on the rational drug design approaches.
