Biography
Pavan Balabathula is currently working as a Senior Research Specialist in Pharmaceutical Sciences Department at University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis, TN. He conducts research and analytical studies for development of novel drug products according to federal guidelines, which includes formulation development of sterile dosage forms for new chemical entities for pre-clinical and Phase I studies, analytical studies involving drug product testing & stability testing using HPLC, UV-VIS, & DLS. He also develops and validates stability indicating assays in accordance to federal and international guidelines. He is experienced in formulation development of API delivery systems including iron oxide nanopartilces, liposomes, micelles, and solid lipid nanoparticles for treating life threatening cancer and infectious diseases.
Research Interest
Analytical Method Development and Validation. Formulation development of nanotechnology drug delivery systems including iron oxide nanoparticles. Liposomes, micelles, and solid lipid nanoparticles, both targeted and non-targeted.
