Biography

Dr. Om Prakash is a Professor at Department of Biochemistry and Director of the Mary Vanier Biomolecular NMR Center, Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS-USA. He is also affiliated with Department of Chemistry and Food Science Institute of this university. Research in his laboratory has been focused on the structure, function and molecular recognition using biophysical methods such as nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and NMR structure based drug designing. He has worked as a Visiting Professor at Harvard Medical School in the lab of Professor Gerhard Wagner studying the structural aspects of protein function and their interactions with small molecule inhibitors.  Dr. Prakash has published more than 85 peer reviewed articles, two book chapters and three monographs in the area of macromolecules structure-activity relationship. He is also serving as an editorial advisory board member of one other journal and reviewer of several scientific journals.
