Biography

Dr. Nimish Khanna is presently a Postdoctoral Scholar in Biological Sciences at University of California, San Diego. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from University of Mumbai, his master’s degree in Life Sciences from Jawaharlal Nehru University, and PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Khanna is an invited reviewer for several international journals. He also plays an active role in professional and social development of Postdoctoral society at University of California, San Diego.

Research Interest

The mammalian cell nucleus is a complex yet highly organized structure. There is a significant amount of knowledge about the organization of nucleus; however, the influence of such structural complexity of the nucleus in gene regulation is poorly understood. Dr. Khanna’s research seeks to understand the role of nuclear organization in gene regulation and during development.
