Biography

Nicholas Johnson is Deputy Head of the Rabies and Wildlife Zoonoses Group at the Veterinary Laboratories Agency. He has received a PhD in Molecular Biology Microbiology, University of Southampton. He has received a BSc in Microbiology, University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. He is a member of the Society for General Microbiology and the Veterinary Research Club, UK. He has published extensively on zoonotic viruses with over 70 peerreviewed publications, particularly on rabies virus. He is an occasional reviewer for a range of journals including Vaccine, Journal of Clinical Microbiology, Virology, Journal of Global Infectious Disease and Epidemiology.
