Biography

M. O. Faruk Khan is an associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the College of Pharmacy at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He received his Bachelor and Master of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and then taught there for about twoyears as a faculty member before attending the Universityof Manchester, UK for completing his PhD in Medicinal Chemistry. Later, he was a postdoctoral fellow at HiroshimaUniversity, Japan, University of Mississippi, Oxford, MS, and Florida A&M University, Tallahassee, FL.He published about 40 peer-reviewed articles in various areas including antiparasitic drug discovery, anti-inflammatory steroidal antidrug design, anti-breast cancer drug discovery and drug discovery from natural products including several review articlesand book chapters as well as book. Currently he is pursuing active funded research, bothindependently and in collaboration, in these areas and also serves as areviewer and editorial board member of several peer-reviewed journals.
