Biography

Dr. Lan Peng is a liver pathologist and assistant professor at UT Southwestern Medical School Dallas TX. She is also the Co-director of Liver and GI pathology fellowship program at UT Southwestern. Dr. Peng received her residency training in pathology at New York University during 2003-2007, her surgical pathology fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas in 2007-2008, and a Liver and GI pathology fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York in 2008-2009. Before joining the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2011, Dr. Peng spent two years as an Assistant Professor with the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Dr. Peng′s primary clinical focus is liver and GI pathology, involving heavily in the field of liver transplant, medial liver and neoplastic liver disease. Her research interests include liver disease as well as its translational research, and new biomarker development for hepatic tumors.
